Jacob Stocking Update

Hello friends,

I just want to thank everyone so very much for donating to JACOB'S STOCKING this year. It is such a special way for us to remember Jacob during the always bittersweet holiday season. I have to admit that I am always nervous asking people for donations. Maybe it is a sense of insecurity or a fear of Jacob being forgotten . . . but I am always afraid that no one will send in anything. Thankfully, I was humbly blessed this year by so many sweet and caring people . . . who gave so generously and brought me to tears with their kindness. God is certainly using you all to help others!

This year - thanks to ALL of you - I am able to donate:

These are the labels we are putting in the books.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

WOW! Needless to say - Jacob's stocking was overflowing - and so were our hearts! It was so exciting to open each box and I thank you all for the cards and pictures that were sent along with your donations. Thank you so much for taking the time to care. Thank you for loving Jacob and remembering him. Thank you so much for your support and prayers - your kindness and generosity. We are so blessed by YOU!

Do you know how many families will be helped because of your donations? And I can just see the smiles on the kids faces when they are handed new books! What a wonderful feeling to be able to help others - but I couldn't do it without YOU!!

Ending with a scripture . . .

"Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God."
Philippians 1:3

Thanking God for all of you,

It seems like just yesterday that Jacob earned his wings, and then it seems like an eternity, too. But, oh, how I thank God for Jacob, for you, and for all the Duckworth clan! Forget? Be real, there are just some things that will NEVER be forgotten! As long as there is someone to remember. Hugs to and prayers for all of you!!
Love and FROG,
Shaun

I've been one of your readers since CB days at least four years ago, and even left an occasional entry in Jacob's CB guestbook. Although I rarely comment here, I do check and read everyday. And I bought a copy of your Jacob book. Today I just had to comment on one thing. JACOB WILL NEVER, EVER BE FORGOTTEN. EVER. And neither will any of the rest of the Duckworth children/family. You must blog FOREVER because your family is SO, SO loved. I would miss all of you so much if you weren't on-line. Bottom-line...Jacob forgotten? No.

How awesome Heather! And your friend, Sarah (me, has not even gotten hers to you yet! Hope it is ok to still send...

Love the picture of Allie inside Jacob's stocking... she is a gift as well. Hand picked by your very special angel, I am sure!

And, no chance that Jacob would be forgotten... he continues to be such a blessing to so many. Look at what his love has done so far!!

Love and FROG!

Sarah

Awesome! Please know, that even as the years pass and some of us may drop off your site...Jacob will always be in our hearts. He will not be forgotten, his spirit is simply too strong. His eyes, his smile, his love, are forever.

I've followed Jacob's story for a couple of years now and have commented on his CB site but have never left a comment on this before. I'm new to the blogging world but have checked on line at yours since the beginning of it. I've found such wonderful insight from you and appreciate the love you display for not only your family but for your Lord. You inspire me in so many ways and I feel blessed to have known Jacob through his site, I just wished it could have been in person. Your family is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with all of us.Blessings.

Wow - what a difference your family has made! I love the picture of the kids sitting on the books. I think of you and Jacob often - I was just sharing your story with a coworker a couple of minutes ago.

Our hearts were overwhelmed when we received ALL the gift cards from Jacob's Stocking! The outpouring of love for this amazing little boy is a beautiful testimony to how deep of an impact he had and continues to have on so many lives. Thank you to all who participated and thank you Duckworth Family for allowing us to use these cards to touch many more lives.

Much Love,
