It's been a while since I have done a FFF post! We've had a busy summer - and rarely are we home on a Friday afternoon for me to participate in FFF. But I am learning one of the tricks of blogging . . . I have been doing ALL of my updates for the week at one time and then just posting them when I am ready. Someone gave me that great idea and it has been working good for me. That's how I have been able to update more often the past couple of weeks. :) So even though we won't be home Friday . . . we are going to the beach with my dad and Nancy - I was able to get this post done earlier this week and all I have to do is publish it when we get back from the beach. Definitely saves me time!
The theme for this Favorite Foto Friday was . . .
Celebrating the Red, White & Blue!
Since I posted most of our 4th of July pictures earlier this week, I dug up some of my favorite pics from the past. I love taking a walk down memory lane . . . so very bittersweet, yet sometimes I just need to see these precious, little faces . . .
I can't help but to smile at these pics from 2003.
The boys were 3 and Kyle was 5. We had gone to Sea World for the 4th of July.
Yes, Brandon was still sucking his thumb . . . that was one habit that was so hard to break! :)
I love how Kyle is covering Jacob's ears and Brandon is covering his as they watched the fireworks.
And Jacob fell asleep on Kyle's shoulder . . .What sweet, sweet memories!
Someone please tell me how my little boys grew up so quickly! :)

And these were from 2004.
I just love the HAPPINESS I see when I look at these pics.

I'm terribly behind on e-mail, blogs and comments - but will take the time to get caught up soon. Have a wonderful weekend!
Ending with a scripture . . .
"Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8:31-32

Know that I'm here praying right now!
Psalms 18:1-3a I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised...
You always have such amazing pictures, your kids are gorgeous!
What wonderful pictures!!!! Your kids are always dressed so cute and look so happy!!! Your whole family is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!!
I love the pictures, especially the walk down memory lane. I love to see pictures of Jacob. He just looks like a neat kid. He obviously had the joy of Jesus in his heart. And you are so right, the picture of just the three boys looks kind of lonely without either Jacob or Allie. May God continue to bless your lives!

Your posts bring such a smile to my face! You and your family are just beautiful!!!
I love all your pics. You are so good about having great pictures to catalog your memories. What a blessing that must be. I just read the post below about the power of love and my goodness it brought me to tears. I love your story about Allie. I think she is absolutely precious and it is so very heart breaking to know how many children are out there without a mom or dad to call their own. Thanks for sharing. You have blessed me this day. :)
LOVE THE PICS OF THE KIDS!!! Oh how I love the pics of Jacob!! NOTHING SAYS "4th of July" than the "covered ears" and "wide-eyed wonder of kids!!! (I still cover mine!!)
Allie was just too cute in her RED/BLUE!!
Hey I was so surprised that we didn't have pics of MINNIE "wigged out" over the NOISE, this 4th of July our schnauzers was sure it was an invasion of ALIENS, the poor dog was an emotional mess!! Do they prescribe "nerve pills" for dogs (LOL)!! *we kept her inside the whole time, still she was "scared of the noise"!
Enjoy your trip w/Nancy and Tom!! I can't wait to see the pics!!!
Your family is so beautiful Heather...just beautiful...

Have a GREAT week!

Heather, another blogging tip for you. You can schedule posts to post automatically. When you are composing, at the bottom it gives post options. Just change the date to the date that you want to publish it on, and the time that day you want it published, and it will schedule it for you. Not sure if you knew that tip, but thought I would share.
I love seeing all the pics from past 4th of Julys!! Your children are absolutely adorable!!
