Hello friends,
I can't tell you how much we love SUMMER at my house . . .
Sleeping in,
lazy mornings,
swimming,
playing,
watching movies,
beach fun,
theme parks &
rainy days.
But the best part by far is having my boys HOME!

Summer is pure JOY and we have been having so much fun!
We don't like to think that summer will come to an end in just 3 short weeks . . .

Yep, we are gonna have a bad case of the back-to-school blues.
But we won't think about that right now!
We'll just enjoy every minute of the last of these lazy summer days-
We went to Islands of Adventure last weekend. We have season passes and love to just go over for the afternoon.

Donnie was putting suntan lotion on Allie's face and she was giggling the whole time. I guess it tickled. :)
My boys were so hot - but had so much fun!
And in Florida, many summer days are spent playing in the rain - as long as there's no lightning of course!
They have all been friends since kindergarten and play together all the time!
Kyle - hot but happy!
But she must keep up with her brothers - so it didn't take her long to venture out in the rain.
And I picked up this Spiderman Slip-N-Slide - ON SALE - for the boys.
It was a big hit and they had so much fun slipping and sliding for the afternoon.
A friend from church had given Allie this little frog bikini - so we just had to try it on. Her brothers were chasing her down the hall and she was having so much fun.
I am so thankful I get to experience the world through the eyes of my children. They help me remember the simple innocense of childhood . . .
the joys of playing in the rain,
the joys of playing in the rain,
laughing, giggling, running.
They live life so free - without a worry in the world! They see the beauty in today - and don't worry about tomorrow. They are such wonderful teachers when I take the time to listen.
Ahhh, to be young again! :)
Thank goodness I have them to show me how to live!
I hope you all enjoy these last days of summer . . . I know we sure will.

Thank you for always sharing such adorable pictures of your kids.
I love the way Allie covers her mouth like that when she laughs.
I love the picture of the boys playing in the rain.
We could sure use some of that rain here in Oklahoma. It's been a while.
God bless,
Valerie
What cute pics!! Looks like you've had a great summer!!

Allie's bathing suits are too cute!
I am not excited about school starting either. My Andrea goes to college and moves in on the 15th. I am happy for her but, Oh how I will miss her. My home will not be the same. The closer it gets the sadder I become. I keep thinking this too shall pass.
What part of Florida do you live? I have aunts and uncles that live in Plant City.
What fun pictures!! Yes, the last days of summer are here. My son cannot wait to go back to school, he thinks the sooner he goes back the sooner he will graduate. (he's a sophomore) We have a mini vacation next week, and then will have a few days, then its back to school.
Enjoy your last days of summer with your kids....they are so precious!!
Rita
The slip and slide looks like so much fun!!
Allie is getting tall, and thin. Growing up too fast. I love her in the bikini. She looks so happy.
I love summer days too. Why do they go by so quickly??? It is hard to fit all the fun in.
I am loving the summer pics ~ especially those in the rain! Love it!!!
Heather,
Thankyou SO much for visiting my blog and for your sweet commment too!
Your kids look like they are having so much fun its wonderful. You are so right that they live so free and don't have a worry in the world. I think we can learn so much from our children as its so easy to get bogged down with the worries of day to day living!
And I just love that verse you ended your post with...such comforting words.
Enjoy those warm summer days...its so cold, windy and rainy here where we are...can't wait till summer comes!!
Take care,
Anna
I miss seeing Minnie in your pic's.
Such a beautiful family. May God Bless.
Aren't these "lazy" summer days great? We're headed to Madison today to do all of Aidan's favorite for his birthday. It's hard not to have fun when you're surrounded by such happy little ones, isn't it? Their joy is so contagious.
And speaking of (not)little, your boys are getting so tall! Aidan and Alec are still in 4/5toddler clothes for some perspective. I was just amazed when I saw that picture of them with Donnie. Maybe my boys' growth spurt is just around the corner? My MIL is barely 5 feet and not even 100lbs so maybe there's no hope for height :)
Allie is always so adorable in all her stylish little clothes! You can definitely see the vibrant little girl in her now instead of the happy chunky baby. It's so fun watching her grow!
Have a great weekend!
I'm glad that you're getting every precious summer moment with your kids. It sure looks like you've made some more fantastic vacation memories. You guys are such good parents, and those smiles on the kids show it.
P.S. How does Allie get by looking so darn cute in that bikini? I would have that same little belly hanging out, and it's no where near as adorable!
Love

Its been too long since I ran in the rain... maybe I should do something about that!
What great, fun, memories.
LOVE the cherry bathing suit. SOO cute.
We love summer around here too! All my friends always expect me to be happy that school is about to start (after all with 5 kids at home who wouldn't be?) but I dread the start of school as I miss the "hang out" time with my kids. The trips to lake and the spray park, bike rides, walks, sprinklers, movies.... Summer never seems to last long enough.
A long time Jacob follower delurking to say I love the pics. http://ramblingsofawheelyracer.wordpress.com/
Wonderful pictures as always!
Hymns have been going through my head all day for some reason. This one is long so I'm only doing the first half but oh it's special. Continuing to pray so very hard!
1. Abide with me! Fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me!
2. Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see.
O Thou, who changest not, abide with me!
3. Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.
4. Come not in terror, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.
