Hello friends,
Our fun-filled 4th of July weekend continued on Saturday when we went to Busch Gardens . . .
Here are the kids in front of the hippo tank.
Allie's smile just cracks me up. She has certainly mastered the cheesy "fake smile" for pictures. Hmmm . . . I wonder who she learned that from? Most likely her BROTHERS! :)
Finally the hippo swam by - and Allie backed way up . . . notice she isn't in the picture! :)

And the picture below isn't the best - but it is just so sweet. . . Allie was giving Joey a kiss! She was so very gentle.Allie is completely fascinated with Joey - especially if he moves or cries. She gets all excited and starts yelling, "Baby, Baby, Baby!"

WOW I am impressed with all the blog entries for this week. You are really on top of it. Your family seems to have so much fun - I would just love to be apart of all that. I am an on the go girl. All the pictures are great and fun. Thanks so much for sharing.

What great 4th of July pictures! I laugh at your daughter's outfits, because my daughter has a lot of the same ones! (The cherry bathing suit and the flag outfit!)
Regarding "blogging", I blog to keep up with out of state friends and family. But it also acts as a "scrapbook" to go back and look at! Mu kids love to go back and look at old posts. Your blog is so inspirational and such a great glimpse into a wonderful family who has faced some unimaginable ups and downs. Please keep your posts coming!
A few weeks ago you posted the "Cardboard Testimonies" video. My soundcard was broken and I just watched it today. I couldn't stop crying!!!! I had so many feelings: how brave for these people to bare their secrets to their congregation, how true that all of us have a confession to make and how inspiring to see the "flip" side to all of the challenges and struggles! I will definitely be posting this to my blog. I hope you don't mind!

Hi Heather - haven't wrote in a while. I used to sign Jacob's guestbook here and there, but have neglected to say "hi" at your blogspot in a while...shame on me. :) I so enjoy your writing and do keep sharing. You have such a beautiful family and are a great example of a wonderful Christian woman. So to catch up: congratulations on Allie's re-adoption day (my husband is adopted so adoption is near and dear to our hearts) that little girl of yours is so precious, the 4th pics are just gorgeous of the family, we have been praying for baby Joey and are so thankful he is home and doing well and last but not least...I still think of sweet Jacob when we see the cardinals in the trees out our back door. Heather, you and I share your love of summer. For me it's the most wonderful time of the year (although I love Christmas also.) However, I feel happiest with the sun shining, the sprinkler sprinkling, and the kids splashing. My middle daughter just saw pics of Allie in her lady bug suit and she squeeled at how cute she was. She really is adorable!

I love the pictures...looks like you had a fun time! I had to laugh on Allie's "cheesy" grins. Joshua has just started doing that when I get out the camera. Silly kids! The bike riding looks like fun and the boys look like they had a blast in the pool! Allie kissing her new cousin is just precious. She is already made to be a mom one day. :)
