Some Allie Sweetness!

A baby girl...

one of the most beautiful miracles in life,

one of the greatest joys we can ever know,

and one of the reasons why there is a little extra sunshine,

laughter and happiness in your world today.
~Author Unknown~

Allie has so much personality! She keeps us laughing everyday with her antics and she is such a fun little girl! She jibber jabbers all day long and I have a feeling she is going to be a talker! :) Her vocabulary is growing everyday and I love to hear her use new words. She is even starting to put 2-3 words together. Some favorite new words this week are . . .
oh, man
come here
come on
pray
thank you, Momma
Dora
And she knows everybody's name in our family!

She loves to play chase and will squeal in delight when you tell her you're gonna get her!

She LOVES her books and will sit in your lap reading for about 30 minutes! I just love when she brings me a book and backs into my lap to sit down. This is great snuggle time for us - since she usually doesn't sit still for long. ;)

She loves to pray! We always say a prayer before our meals and Allie will fold her hands and bow her head and end with a nice, loud "Amen!!" Unfortunately, she enjoys it so much that several times during the meal she wants us all to stop eating and pray! :)

And she gives the sweetest kisses ever! She loves going around the room and giving everyone a kiss - and if you are not in the room then she will yell for you to come so you can get your kiss. Needless to say, we all come running when she calls for us. :)

And last I want to share a quick video clip of Allie. We have been trying to get Allie to say, "Thank You" when you give her something, but we haven't had much luck. Then all of a sudden, I gave her a drink during dinner and she said, "Thank you, Momma" all by herself! I was so excited! :) So I ran for the FLIP and Donnie tried to get her to say it again. She was a little pre-occupied with wanting to take a bath - but she finally said it and I have it captured forever . . . to watch again and again. Pure sweetness!

Now, we do have our not-so-sweet moments as well! Allie can throw a terrific toddler tantrum and have a major meltdown. And she loves to scream - just for the fun of it! And she is into everything . . . I swear she has 10 arms! :0) But thankfully those moments never last long.
But the sweet moments . . . now those will last a lifetime! :)

We are so blessed!

Ending with a scripture . . .

"Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions."
1 John 3:18

This scripture reminds us that actions sometimes do speak louder than words. I hope that even though the days our busy and loud - my actions show my children that I love them more than anything. Because I do!
With love,

Aren't baby kisses the best?? Reese is such a sweet little kisser. He loves to blow them too.

She really is such a blessing and a ray of sunshine.

Oh she is just so cute! Loved hearing her little laugh and her Thank You! Those are some of the sweetest words that come from my baby boy too. Sometimes hearing the itty bitty "thank you mama" melts my heart more then hearing "i yub you" because it just shows how much he appriciates the things I do without me having to even tell him to say thank you. Teaching them young though is what carries on forever and makes us proud mamas! Loved all her pictures too of course.

Continue to have fun with them all - they grow up so fast and you'll wonder where the time went ...and then you will be a "Grandma" just like me!!!! It's so much fun also!! I have more time now just to enjoy them...

Love the sweet moments of your cutie. My oldest used to pray all the time also. The best times were when she was sitting on the potty and we had to fold hands and bow our head before doing our business. They are so funny!!

I love your blog and have followed it throughout Jacob's struggles and now through Allie's adoption. I am amazed at how this little girl has become part of your family. It's hard to remember when she wasn't already here. I hope that her birth mother can view your site and see the beauty in the gift that she has given all of you, especially Allie. Her sacrifice is your joy. Allie's smiles are proof of God's loving touch. God bless all of you!

You are going to be in so much trooooooouble soon! Once she figures out that door she'll make a run for it!
Trust in the Lord and His grace! Continuing to pray hard!
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

What a precious sweet baby girl!!! Do you ever sit and imagine what this little girl's life would have been like if you and your family had not had the heart and courage to step forward and follow Gods lead. Would she be this happy, would she be surronded by so much love, would she have the things that are not neccesities but are just pleasures, would she be able to be thrown up in the air by her daddy or read stories to by her mommy. What a gift God has brought you but you are also a gift to her. She was sent here on this earth for you just as much as you were sent for her.

Love
Allison

She is definitely a cutie-patootie! I love seeing the pictures you have posted and I always think to myself how different her life will be because you adopted her into your wonderful family! Now that I think about it,
Look at how wonderful our lives are because God has adopted us as well!

Have a blessed day!

Heather I have recently found your blog and wanted to comment and say how refreshing and encouraging I find reading your posts. Your faith in the Lord is truly inspiring with all that your family has been through.

I live in Australia, and have 2 beautiful adopted daughters. Your Allie is just adorable (and your gorgeous boys as well!!). This post made me smile as she is just SO gorgeous. She has the sweetest little face and looks so happy. The video of her is so cute. It is such a great age as they are starting to talk...a very busy age but wonderful as well. What a blessing she is for your family!

Thanks for sharing.

God Bless,
Anna

LOVE THIS POST!!! So it is written...FOR EVERYTHING THEIR IS A SEASON!!!

I love the Allie pics, my favorite by far is the "praying picture" that will be one of my all time favorite!

That Allie is going to be a great talker!! It's amazing how her vocabulary is blossoming!

Our Bree is quite the "sprinter" and I can definitely relate this child to several animals in the 'animal kingdom"!

octupus- little "tentacles" that touches everything

eagle-little eyes that "spot" everything, even a little speck on the floor from a few feet away

gazelle-little legs that can carry that little 25lb "chub" across the floor like lightening and leave us panting for breathe

bird-always "chattering" and "singing" I LOVE YOU *theme from Barney*

fish-loves ANY TYPE of water, especially the dog bowl

and the most loveable of "animal of all"

teddy "bear"-loves to hug and kiss! I love to hear the "MWAH" after each soppy kiss

Heather you and your family have been such a blessing in my life, I love to travel down memory lane with all your beautiful pics of the family, I know you probably have heard this over and over again, however, THANK YOU for allowing us to share such special moments in your beautiful family life, you are a daily reminder of how precious our little ones are and how we should be thankful for each and every day! Despite what life "serves" us we are always ready to "consume" it with a positive outlook.
