I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We had such a great holiday weekend - I enjoyed every minute and just loved having my guys and Donnie home for a long weekend together.
Thanksgiving was great! The boys helped me with the baking and really got into it this year. Of course - I think they like to help just so they can lick the bowl. :) But I loved spending that time with them - and they really were a big help. We watched the Macy's Day Parade that morning and Allie was so excited to see all of her favorite characters. After the parade we walked down to my mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner - where we ate way too much food.
Friday morning - I left the house at 3:45am with my mom and Rhonda to hit the sales! I love Black Friday . . . crazy, I know. :) But we all got some great deals and I was able to get a lot of my shopping done. Plus, it was just nice to have a morning with no kids in tow. I was able to get so much done. ;)
We also decorated the house - inside and out - for Christmas. Allie was right in the middle of everything which made decorating a little more challenging this year - but thankfully - so far - she has left the ornaments on the tree alone. And we made our annual trip to see Santa! Allie just LOVES Santa - and has no fear. She went running right up to him and gave him a great big hug. She is so excited about Christmas and it is so much fun for all of us to experience the holidays through Allie's eyes.
Here she is peeking at Santa while we were waiting in line.
Devin & Brandon
Big hug for Santa!
Even the boys jumped in the picture - which I LOVE! Of course, it helps that they have a little sister because they will do ANYTHING for her. :)

This is truly a magical time of year and I am going to make an effort to slow down and enjoy every minute. The birth of Christ gave us an everlasting HOPE and I want to make sure to focus on the real meaning of the season. We definitely get excited about "Santa" at my house - but more importantly, we celebrate the birth of Christ with such a thankful heart.
Have a wonderfully blessed week, my friends.

Heather!
How do you have the energy to do it all?? Please share :)
Enjoyed reading about your Thanksgiving. The Christmas tree is beautiful and the kids look so precious! Allie is getting so BIG..oh my goodness!! What a doll!
Sounds like a great weekend. It is busier with a toddler in the midst, but so true about experiencing it through their eyes. Reese is a Santa fan as well.
They all look adorable with Santa--the boys are good sports!
Heather,

Take care,

BTW I am totally addicted to the Twilight series you recommended-just finished 1 and 2 and went out and bought no.3 today. They are hard to put down!

Oh, how special!
Great pictures Heather. I could not read what was on Alli's shirt?
Glad you had such a great Thanksgiving.
Been thinking of you♥
Heather I love the Santa pictures, and Allie's Turkey outfit...and the boys Turkey shirts. I always go shopping on black Friday. We always take Gracie with us and she loves it. I love the crowds , and the deals. I always make Heather go with me, I call her my runner. I stand in one spot and make her go fight the crowd to get what I want. My nephew went with us this year so I had 2 runners, he said he had so much fun. This was his first black Friday and he's 26. I love Christmas so much....
Guess what Heather - since I totally love your family and I am in awe with all you do as a wife and mom I decided your BLOG WAS FABULOUS and you deserved an award ... so hop on over and visit us again to see the rules ... have a great day!
Hi Heather! Belated Thanksgiving wishes to you! Looks like a great time was had by all! I love Allie's Santa outfit! SOOO cute! And your boys are handsome as ever! WOW! What fun the teenage years will be (but I should talk! LOL) Hope you're having a great week!
Hugs,
Christina
What is your new address for Jacob's Stocking?
Heather, I love the pictures. The boys look great and Allie is just priceless. She was definitely Heaven sent for your family! Not a day goes by that your family doesn't cross my mind. I don't drop by here very often but I am trying to get back on track (some sort of a routine). I do enjoy reading your updates and the blog connection does help. Hope your holidays season will go well and keeping the Reason for this season at the top of the list and not getting things so caught up that we can't enjoy each day is a must. God bless your family and know each of your are thought of and in our prayers. Love, Tracy (and Ladybug Katia)
I just love reading your blog. You are such an inspiration to so many, and your son is touching so many lives with his story. May God Bless you and keep you all. Have a very Merry Christmas!!
By the way, can you please tell me how you do your header on your blog?? I would love to do something like that for mine and my son's blog. Thanks!!
Sarah
Such sweet pics of all the kids together...I love the turkey clothes the most...absolutely adorable...You're a girl after my own heart dressing your kids alike..I'm so happy to see older kids wanting (or agreeing) to match..too cute, kristi
Love the banner with the kids pictures above the stockings....what program did you use to make that? I love it.
I was reading in Job last night and for the first time the words really hit my heart as well as my head. I could feel the agony Job was going through. Besides his whole livelihood, he lost all TEN of his children in one moment! His agony just flows through his words in Job, yet in the midst of all that come THE most beautiful Gospel. May these words comfort you, and know I'm praying.
Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Prayer Bears
ohmygosh!!!!
That turkey outfit is ridiculously cute. I have never seen anything like it before. That's just too much.
I'm so glad you all had a good Thanksgiving. I'm sure thankful for the inspiration and friendship you've brought into my life.
Love
Anissa
